The DB just did his job. I hate that rule. Kolbs the one who decided to throw the buddy pass which got him laid out. I have no problem with the helmet to helmet rules, but that defenseless receiver stuff is weak. Defenseless receiver.give me a break. I know they need to protect the players, but it just sucks (IMO) that the DB got a flag and will probably be fined. The receiver dropped the pass because the QB led him over the middle and he got trucked and separated from the ball. Saw that play.it was an awesome hit and the DB did his job.

Today might have been the clearest indication yet that while the NFL is making progress regarding head injuries, the players are not. It’s hard to keep my temper in check on a day where #helmettohelmet actually became a trending topic on Twitter. First, we need a clear statement from both Roger Goodell and DeMaurice Smith that helmet-to-helmet hits are not going to be tolerated and they’ll take the necessary steps for punishment, if warranted. Fines don’t seem to be working, so maybe suspensions will. We still celebrate the big hit, and a way has to be found that keeps the "ooh" hit active while keeping players from blending their brains week after week.
