I hope they have learned: a) Do not give out confidential information to PACs, or any other well-meaning organizations. It only creates the image of undue influence, by these vendors. There is entrenched opposition to whatever the district is going to do. But I really do believe the district needs to understand these points, if it wants to win the next bond election. These types of elections in the future are going to be tough. I am not a political consultant. b) Keep vendors (like architecture firms) out of the process, to the greatest extent possible. They may not want to buy astroturf or jumbotron signs, as the election approaches. ". c) Do no make major investments in the lead-up to the election. You can’t exclude them completely, but the district should discourage this. These people are not going aware, and I strongly suggest they will oppose the next referendum, in 2-3 years.So the district is going to have to overcome this type of obstacle in the future.
