Chris Evans, having previously played a Marvel hero, The Human Torch, in two “Fantastic Four” movies, plays a wannabe soldier who, in 1942, is found physically unfit to serve. Among other notables in the cast are January Jones of “Mad Men,” who plays Emma Frost/White Queen, and Jennifer Lawrence, an Oscar nominee for her turn in last year’s “Winter’s Bone,” as the shape-shifting Raven Darkholme/Mystique.
